About Us

Discover how BeanTo elevates your events with exceptional coffee solutions tailored to your needs.

Our Story

Like many great (21st century) tales, the Bean To story started with a man in his parent’s garage watching a YouTube video.

The man was Jamie Stapleton, a hospitality worker who wanted to create something of his own. A cafe was a far too big of an investment so instead he got to work building a cart with his Dad's tools and old materials.

From humble beginnings in 2011 as a one-man one-trike show, Bean To has grown to comprise a fleet of mobile coffee options, a team of staff, two permanent locations and a number of recurring event bookings.

Jamie remains as hands on in the growing business as ever, overseeing all operations and building each new machine by hand.

...He can even do it without YouTube now.

BeanTo has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry.

Managing and operating many food and beverage projects, ventures and venues throughout Australia over the past 15 years.

Sustainability Practices

Trying to make a positive impact every day.

Some of our sustainability efforts below

Waste Grounds

Is it waste or is it a resource? We collect businesses’ ground coffee, chaff and soft plastic and give them new life.

Coffee Grounds, Chaff & Soft Plastic

Reusable Cup System

The Green My Plate system creates much needed environmental awareness and mindfulness around single-use waste. Conversations will be made and everyone involved in choosing.

The Udderway Milk Keg

Eliminating single-use plastic milk bottles globally.

Zero emissions, circular branding.

Our printed branding for coffee carts

The type of PVC sheet we use for any printed cart branding is returned to our printing partners > This used-material is then returned to the manufacture > Those original sheets are then made into new branding blanks > which get printed and the life cycle restarts, again and again.

Paper Cups

The best approach to using paper cups for hot drinks, is to NOT USE PAPER CUPS AT ALL!

But here are our options:

Compostable cups: We can use Single Wall Compostable cups. Please be aware that the council-municipality you are situated in chooses whether they process compost commercially, if they don't process the compost commercially, these cups will end up in landfill. Please check with your facility and council to see how they process their waste.

Our most sustainable option is our PLA cups. These cups are considered the industry standard in eco-friendly cups. PLA plastic, or polylactic acid, is a bio-based plastic made from renewable raw materials such as corn-based resin and isenvironment and resource friendly. PLA requires significantly less energy to mold into plastic containers. It can be shaped into a variety of bottles, containers, trays, film and other packaging."Polyethylene (PE Lined) coffee cups can be recycled at specific recycling facilities.
